Awesome Auditor

To Diana, Management Systems are second nature. Like breathing.

Diana has expertise in developing, implementing and auditing integrated management systems, emphasizing that the business processes should serve the organization and its customers.

She managed the environmental laboratory supply chain for a global chemical company with 12 Divisions in US.

In her work, Diana managed millions of dollars of analytical testing, creating model partnerships between the laboratories and the data users.

"Diana’s integrity, technical understanding of complex environmental standards, and her abilities to teach senior leaders to the front-line makes her a wonderful resource and ally.”

 Iqbal Mian, US Gain

“Diana Baldi is the most enthusiastic person I have ever worked with. Her passion and humor make hard work fun.”

— Dr. Michael Nuwer, Analytical Chemist

“It is rare that you come across a person like Diana that is so knowledgeable, dynamic, high energy, engaging, tenacious and can collaborate at the level that she does while always driving for a win-win outcome.”

— Kevin Kerik, Methanex

“I would say that the best word to describe my experience of working with Diana is "effortless." She was constantly thinking outside the box and thinking ahead. Her work and life experience complimented mine quite well. If I were ever to be on the Amazing Race, I would want Diana to be my teammate, hands down!”

— Mike Wozniak

A Unique Combination

Diana has a unique combination of direct experience in the ISO 14001 (environmental), ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 45001 (health and safety), ISO/IEC 17025 (testing and calibration laboratories) and the Baldridge Framework for Excellence. She has worked with a wide variety of sectors including manufacturing, service, non-profit, testing laboratories, and government.

Passion and Expertise

Diana's systems journey started when she first saw clean air and water in Kentucky and understood how polluted her Ohio Valley hometown was. That experience sparked a degree in Environmental Science and 14 years of service at the USEPA Region III. Her work led to extensive knowledge of contract management, assessing laboratories and auditing engineering firms.
As an expert voice in her field, Diana is shifting to mentoring individuals. Seeing comprehension bubble up in her student's eyes is addictive to her. Seeing the energy and improvements after candid audit feedback provided massive passion to drive her further in teaching.

Meet Bruce

Lead Regulatory Scientist

I joined ITCI in January 2022 as a specialist of regulatory compliance and data management.

I have over 30 years of experience in industrial laboratory work in analytical chemistry, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) compliance, and project management.

Bruce's 30 years of experience were gained through work with agricultural and pharmaceutical product analysis and development at both large (Abbott Laboratories, SC Johnson) and small (EnCas Labs, Valent BioScienses, AgroFresh) companies. Bruce has hands-on bench, Study Director, project manager, and sponsor representative experience with small-molecule analytical technologies; HPLC and GC, using many types of detectors (i.e., MS, FID, UV-vis), as well as many other physical-chemical product testing methodologies applicable to FDA, EPA, and OECD regulatory compliance characterizations (e.g., CIPAC, OPPTS, USP, ASTM).

In case you aren't familiar with the acronyms in Bruce's bio:

ASTM = ASTM International
(formerly American Society for Testing and Materials)
CIPAC = Collaborative International Pesticides Analytical Council
EPA = Environmental Protection Agency
FDA = Food and Drug Administration
FID = flame ionization detector
GC = gas chromatography

HPLC = high-performance liquid chromatography
MS = mass spectrometry
OECD = Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development
OPPTS = Office of Prevention, Pesticides, and Toxic Substances
USP = United States Pharmacopeia
UV-vis = ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy

“I worked with Bruce for many years while at Abbott and found Bruce to be a highly capable and experienced lead analytical chemist for the projects he worked on. ...I highly recommend Bruce.”

James Schilling, DiVIHN

“Bruce is a hard-working and highly competent analytical chemist. He can be counted on to deliver high quality work on schedule.”

— Thomas Paulus, Retired

Prior to Bruce’s industrial laboratory years, he conducted basic research on natural products related to plant growth and development, and ecotoxicology, as an analytical biochemist. These endeavors were for his master’s from the University of Maryland, his Ph.D. from Washington State University, and post-doctoral research at the U.S. Dept of Agriculture (Beltsville, MD) and Ciba-Geigy (Basel, Switzerland).

Bruce enjoys all types of outdoor activities and traveling when not working. Favorite activities include biking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, birding, and snorkeling. He now lives in Ohio after retiring from his full-time career that moved him from Philadelphia, Chicago, North Carolina, and Maryland.
